Data Retention and Deletion Policy

1. Data Management Commitment

At Mehmadabad Stickers, we adhere to a strict policy of "Storage Limitation." We pledge not to retain your personal information for longer than is necessary. This policy outlines the specific timeframes for which we store your data and the procedures for its permanent removal, ensuring compliance with Indian regulations and protecting your privacy.

2. Specific Retention Timelines

We classify user data into distinct categories and apply specific retention periods based on operational needs and legal mandates (such as the Information Technology Act, 2000).

2.1. Identity and Recovery Data

Scope: This includes your Mobile Number, Email Address, and Emergency Contact Information.

Active Status: We retain this data indefinitely while your account remains "Active" to ensure you can log in and verify your identity.

Post-Termination: Upon the closure of your account, we will retain this data in a secure, restricted archive for a period of three (3) years. This is strictly to comply with Indian legal requirements regarding fraud prevention and regulatory audits.

2.2. User Media and Content

Scope: Photos selected from your gallery and stickers created within the App.

Policy: As a tool-based application, we do not intend to be a permanent cloud storage solution for your personal photos.

Retention: Any temporary data or metadata generated during the sticker creation process is deleted from our servers immediately after processing or within 30 days, whichever occurs first.

2.3. Operational and Technical Logs

Scope: Crash reports, Device IDs (IMEI/Advertising ID), and app performance statistics.

Retention: To monitor system health and resolve technical bugs, we store these logs for a rolling period of twelve (12) months. After this period, the data is permanently deleted or anonymized for statistical analysis.

3. Deletion and Account Dormancy

We provide clear methods for you to exercise your right to delete your data.

3.1. User-Requested Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time.

  • Procedure: Please send a formal request to business@mahemdabadupltd.com using your registered email address.
  • Processing Time: We will process valid requests within seven (7) business days.
  • Result: Your data will be permanently removed from our active databases. Please note that encrypted backup copies may exist for a short transition period (up to 90 days) before being overwritten.

3.2. Inactivity Cleanup (Dormancy)

To maintain a clean database, we implement an automated deletion process for inactive accounts.

  • Condition: If your account shows no login activity for twelve (12) consecutive months.
  • Warning: We will send a notification to your registered email 14 days before the scheduled deletion.
  • Action: If you do not log in during this notice period, your account and all personal data will be automatically and permanently deleted.

4. Security of Retained Data

During the retention period, all data is safeguarded using industry-standard encryption and strict access controls. We ensure that your information is not accessible to unauthorized parties while it remains in our custody.
